G's Guide to the West Village

Let's Hear it For New York

The West Village is arguably one of the most charming neighborhoods in New York. We love to wander its tree-lined, cobblestone streets. Cozy, diverse and picturesque, this area is known for fashionable boutiques, lively restaurants and historic buildings. Below are some of our favorite places to shop, and most importantly - to eat - in our favorite neighborhood in Manhattan.

Places to Eat:

Our family loves to eat. We couldn't possibly narrow down our restaurant suggestions to just two or three.

Pizza:

Joe's

John's

Emily’s

Village Street Pizza

Brunch:

Cafe Cluny

Buvette

Jack’s Wife Freida

Lunch:

Bonsignour

Corner Bistro

Dinner:

Mary's Fish Camp

Extra Virgin

Red Farm

Candy:

Lilac Chocolates

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream

Magnolia Bakery (get the banana pudding!)

Places to Shop:

What's a visit to New York without a little shopping?

Bleecker St is home to an amazing mix of retail. Around the corner, you'll find our store on the corner of W. 4th & Bank next to Le Labo. We love how the locals stop by to chat and hang out on the bench outside.
