Ways to give back for Earth Day
1. AVOID SINGLE-USE PLASTIC
Plastic utensils, straws, cups and lids (to name a few) are convenient, but major offenders when it comes to ocean pollution. Make the switch to reusable utensils that you can keep in your bag when dining out— the earth will thank you & you’ll feel great too!
2. INVEST IN A REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE
Plastic water bottles are often found washed up on the beach and in tide pools around the globe. Skip the water cup, invest in a reusable water bottle and make it your sidekick. You can fill it almost anywhere you go, thus keeping you healthy and hydrated— and you’ll save money in the long run.
3. SEE SOMETHING, DO SOMETHING
If you see trash on the beach, pick it up. Most public beaches have accessible trash cans near by. You don’t need to be part of an organized clean-up crew to make a difference!
4. SPEND TIME IN NATURE
There’s nothing more refreshing than taking a moment to spend time outside. Whether that means laying out on a blanket, going for a stroll or simply grounding your feet on the earth, as long as you’re breathing fresh air and taking it allllll in, you can’t go wrong.
5. EDUCATE LOVED ONES
Research has proven that the more you know, the more you care. Share sustainability tips and tricks you have learned and implemented with those around you.
We’re all in this together!
We want to continue to share Laguna Beach, our beautiful home with you in hopes that it gives you as much peace as it gives us.
